The Radical Theology Seminar provides a unique opportunity for those interested in the cutting edge of theological discourse to engage with some of the most important contemporary thinkers in radical theology in an academically rigorous environment. In these monthly seminars, participants will recover the forgotten history of radical theology while also pressing its boundaries in new and exciting directions. This seminar offers a rare opportunity to engage with a transgressive theology often marginalized within the academy—a theology that is simultaneously constructive and deconstructive, a theology that disrupts racial, class, and gender boundaries with the aim of social, political, and religious transfiguration.

Engage with Experts

As a true seminar, availability is limited to twenty participants, so that each participant can receive personalized attention, directly interact with some of the most respected names in radical theology, explore seminal texts in the field, and take part in the collaborative construction of insurrectionary theology for the twenty-first century.

Audience

This seminar is designed for theologians dissatisfied with dominant theological traditions that have become incapable of speaking into our complex political, ecological, and cultural situation, and who are curious about post-theistic theologies that can speak to a secular world; philosophers who are interested in exploring theology outside of religious dogma and received tradition; students who are seeking to explore radical theologies typically excluded from the theological academy; clergy who want to translate radical theology for a ministry context; and religious misfits of every stripe.

Details

Each 2-hour seminar is paired with a provided pdf reading of 75-150 pages and features a content expert who will give a short topical presentation before facilitating an extended seminar discussion. Full participants will also be entered into a monthly book giveaway, receive mid-month video reading guides, and more.
